Personal best for Kathy's latest Triathlon

Kathy and Tony stood together.

Being consistent is proven to deliver results in so many facets of life. Whether that be sport, learning or investing, turning up each day and following through on your plan will give you the best chance of success.

After her disappointment in Weymouth three weeks ago, Kathy’s commitment to daily training paid off this weekend. Along with friend and client Tony (a successful business owner from Mudeford), Kathy completed the Swashbuckler Middle Distance Triathlon at Buckers Hard on Sunday.

The weather was unforgivingly hot, but both Kathy and Tony achieved personal best times of just over five and a half hours, and Kathy won her age group.

Last week Kathy and I went on a road trip with our girls to visit friends and family that we haven’t been able to see much over the past couple of years. It was lovely to reconnect. But I was conscious of making sure I didn’t miss a day in my strength training, so I packed my weights.

Each day I found a new place to train – by the lakeside in Cardiff, in the carpark of our B&B in Wiltshire and in my brother’s back garden. Sticking with my plan will hopefully ensure I meet my latest fitness goals.
