The benefits clients derive from the advice and service we deliver is the most important thing to us. To be recognised by our peers in the profession as a firm that is leading the profession’s thinking in how they deliver pension and retirement planning advice is an added bonus.
That’s what happened earlier this week when I attended the Life and Pensions Awards ceremony in London, organised by the Financial Times’ professional publication, Financial Adviser.
Last year I was really pleased that MFP Wealth Management was commended in the ‘Small Life and Pensions Firm of the Year‘ category; this year we moved up a level.
Again we scooped a commendation, but this time in the most prestigious category – ‘Firm of the Year‘.
All UK firms were invited to enter the awards. We were short-listed to undergo a number of rigorous interviews, before being selected as one of a handful of firms to attend the awards ceremony.
We were up against tough competition from much larger firms, so I am really pleased to receive third place.
Furthermore, I am thrilled with the feedback from one of the judges, who commented that one of the things that impressed him most was our obvious passion for financial planning.
That’s because what I really care about is helping people achieve what’s most important to them, by creating a plan that allows them to live a fulfilling life.
