Last week I had the pleasure of presenting a cheque to the Christchurch Community Partnership’s ‘Homeless Help Group’. As their name suggests, this group helps homeless and vulnerable people in the Christchurch area.
In lieu of sending Christmas cards in December, we decided to buy ‘The gift of a meal’ – a voucher worth £3 allowing a local vulnerable person to enjoy a cooked meal at selected cafes in Christchurch – for everyone who clicked ‘yes, buy one on my behalf’. 45 of you clicked that button, which meant almost £150 worth of meal vouchers.
We decided to double the amount and so handed over a cheque for £300 to the Reverend Sandra Prudom, Chairperson of the Christchurch Community Partnership, who was delighted to receive our donation.
Thank you for allowing us to give the gift of a meal to local people in need. You can find out more about the Christchurch Community Partnership here.
